HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS

  • WAIST

Position the waist band at the front of the jean on top of the waist band at the back. Smooth out firmly. Measure across the top of the waistband from far left to far right. This is the waist measurement.

  • HIP

Lay the jeans in a natural flat position and smooth out, so there are no wrinkles around the hips. Mark the points A, B and C, as shown - we recommend using pins. A and C are 18cm below the top of the waistband at the sides. B is 18cm below the top of the waistband at the front. Measure the total distance from A to B plus B to C. This is the hip measurement.

  • LEG LENGTH

Fold one leg to the side to expose the crotch seam. Smooth out the other leg so it’s straight. Note: the crotch seam is the point where the inside seam of the right leg meets the inside seam of the left leg. For the leg that is smoothed out, measure a straight line from the top of the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem.

  • HEM WIDTH

Smooth out the very bottom of one leg. Holding the hem down flat, measure the width across the leg opening.
