HOW TO FIND YOUR SIZE

  • The Easy Way - Use our Size App

Just click the 'Find my size' button on any product page and follow the instructions. The app will ask you to input your body measurements.

For accurate results, take your body measurements on bare skin using a soft measuring tape. Be sure to keep the tape nice & level and not too tight or too loose.

The app will then recommend your best size. And you only need to fill it out once - the app will automatically adjust its recommended size according to the jean you're viewing.

  • The Fussy Way - Measure your Favourite Jeans

Use this method when you want to match a pair of jeans you already own to a pair of BELL ST jeans.

This method requires a bit of extra work because you need to measure your jeans in a particular way, which is explained below.

Step 1: Take the pair of jeans you want to match. It should be 100% cotton (jeans with stretch will measure differently) and a similar style to the fit you are exploring.

For example, if you are exploring our high-waisted Lafont jean, the jean you measure at home should also be high-waisted.

Step 2: Lay the jeans on a flat surface, facing up. Do up the fly and smooth them out.

Step 3: Use a soft measuring tape to measure the waist, hip, thigh, leg and hem, following the 'How to Measure your Jeans' guide below.

  • Having followed these steps, use the measurements to find the closest size in this table:

Please note that our jeans are made with 100% organic cotton, so they have less give than jeans with elastane or other synthetic materials. If in doubt, consider sizing up.

How to Measure your Jeans

  • Waist

Smooth out your jeans. Measure across the top of the waistband from far left to far right.

Tip: Press down firmly on the edges of the waistband to get the full measurement.

  • Hip

Lay out with the legs in a natural position as shown. Place the measuring tape just under the fly as shown and measure across the hips.

Tip: Make sure there are no wrinkles on top or underneath the jean.

  • Thigh

Pull one leg to the side to expose the crotch seam. Smooth out the other leg.  Mark a point on the inseam 3cm below the crotch. From this point, measure out to the side of the leg.

Tip: The measuring tape should be at 90 degrees to the outside of the leg.

  • Leg Length

With one leg pulled to the side, smooth out the other leg all the way to the hem. Measure a straight line from the top of the crotch seam to the bottom of the hem.

Tip: The 'crotch seam' is the point where the inside seam of the right leg meets the inside seam of the left leg.

  • Hem Width

Smooth out the very bottom of one leg. Press the hem down flat and measure the width across the leg opening.
